-The University of Colorado is known for its quality of the built environment.
-As Project Manager, I assisted the University with the construction of the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building, $165 million.
-Hired and managed architects, engineering consultants, vendors and contractors on numerous small capital projects throughout the Campus.

EXCLUSIVE RESORTS // DENVER, CO
Director of Architecture, Design and Construction

October, 2004 – January 2009
Exclusive Resorts is the market leader in the luxury destination club industry, with over $1billion invested in resort real estate, represented by 400 homes in 40 destinations worldwide and 3,600 members.
-As Design Director, responsibilities included overseeing design, construction, scheduling and budgeting of 114 custom homes, with an average value of $3 million.
-Hired and managed international teams of developers, architects, interior designers, purchasing agents, art consultants, installers and general contractors. This work required extensive travel throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Central America. -Championed the cause for green architecture within the company. The first LEED-certified luxury residences were completed in January 2009.
-As the Owner’s Representative, responsibility for the design and construction of Exclusive Resort’s 80,000 sf. corporate offices. Received the company’s 4th quarter 2006 Pinnacle Award in recognition of my work

-Gensler is a leading global architecture, interior design, planning and strategic consulting firm with 3500 employees networked across 44 offices, that Fast Company calls “one of the world’s most influential design firms.”
-Founder and leader of the higher education practice in the firm’s Denver office, completing numerous projects at the University of Colorado, the University of Denver, the Auraria Higher Education Center and the University of Oklahoma.

-Project Manager and lead designer for the following higher education projects:
1.University of Colorado at Boulder’s $25 million University Memorial Center Student Union. Awarded a LEED Silver certification.
2. ADA renovations of 60 buildings on the University of Colorado at Boulder campus. The Armory Building addition won a Historic Boulder Award. The renovations totaled $10 million.
3. School of Hotel, Tourism and Restaurant Management at the University of Denver. The $15 million state of the art facility helped the department climb to its high national ranking.

The Auraria Higher Education Center Administration Building, which houses the administrative offices for three institutions
-Managed and designed corporate headquarter projects for corporations such as: MCI Telecommunications, Sun Micro-Systems, Progressive Insurance, First Data, Pro-Logis and The North Face.
-As project designer of the expansion and renovation to the Midland Texas Airport, we brought the airport up to today’s standards and won an AIA award.
-Director of the Denver office’s in house learning program.
